Yorke Institute – Your Gateway to a new career in Aged Care
About the CHCSS00114 Entry into Care Roles Skill Set
If you’re entering the workforce for the first time or looking to upskill for a fresh challenge in a new career, Yorke Institute is offering an incredible opportunity to train for entry level positions in the aged care industry. And the good news is that you can finish your entry level training in less than two months!
The CHCSS00114 Entry into Care Roles Skill Set training is a job-ready initiative developed by the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment in direct response to COVID-19.
The course is designed to meet an immediate industry need for basic tasks and to rapidly upskill workers for entry into the sector during the COVID-19 pandemic. If you’re looking for an immediate start in the aged care industry, this is the course for you.
Limited Time Only
Training for this skillset is considered by the government to be time limited to the pandemic and recovery phase. Get in now because these courses will book out quickly!

How it works
This nationally recognised qualification is designed to open up opportunities for graduates in aged care, disability and in-home care. The skill set equips learners with basic skills and knowledge for entry into the care workforce via theoretical online training, before undertaking practical aspects of the training once employed.
The support provided in client care will be predominantly non-direct, with some basic direct client care, in order to maintain the safety of both the learner and client in care.
Your new employer may introduce you to new skills in the workplace which can then be further developed and accredited to your qualification.
Your CHCSS00114 Entry into Care Roles Skill Set qualification may also be considered as a pathway to a Certificate IV in Ageing Support for students who discover their passion in aged care and wish to develop their skills further. Students will be credited with the relevant units if they choose to advance their knowledge with a Cert IV.
