About the Course

The BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management will build on your role as an emerging leader and manager in a range of enterprise and industry contexts.

This program is targeted to students enrolled in Professional Year Program in Engineering as well as individuals intending to enrol in a standalone qualification. This program is structure to suit those assuming responsibility for their own performance. Individuals at this level provide leadership, guidance and support to others. They also have some responsibility for organizing and monitoring the output of their team. They apply solutions to a defined range of predictable and unpredictable problems and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.

A pre-training review to assess course suitability and entry level for each individual will be conducted. This may result in a recommended learning pathway to help you meet course specific requirements and any other prerequisites.

• On campus learning provides students with face to face contact and offers the opportunity to study in an inclusive and supportive environment.

We support you with resources that will enrich your learning experience and support successful completion of the course which may include:

• Additional classes, tutorials and workshops.

• Computer and technology support from the trainer if necessary.

• Referral to external support services.

• Language, literacy and numeracy issues;

• Employment issues; and/or

• Any other issues that may affect their ability to achieve their training goals.

Additional support services to students will be provided where it is necessary to enable students to participate in the same way as any other person regardless of whether support services have been required.
Where there is perceived difficulty in achieving learning goals, the trainer will discuss these issues with the student. The student will be provided with information about possible alternative pathways, additional tools and resources available, and options and choices for accessing a supportive network. The information provided will vary depending on the individual needs of the student.
